Let's start off by saying that the Beyhive (Beyonce fangirls and boys) would really appreciate Eman Idil for this runway show. I was so excited when the first model for Eman Idil walked out on to the runway at Art Hearts Fashion Week to "Apesh*t" from the recent album by The Carters.
Each step taken by the models was so gracious yet included some extra added "sass," as they each walked with an obvious sway in their hips while holding their hands clasped together above their waist. -Look at the pictures below to see what I'm describing exactly and you can just feel it! -Eman Idil represents girl power to the extreme. All Eman Idil designs are handmade by women who have a story to share from Somalia, Morocco, Canada and more. The Eman Idil brand stands behind the idea of storytelling through fashion design.
Most of the designs that were shown by Eman Idil at her first NYFW show included shiny, long and flowy fabrics that draped across each model's body. Something that I really admired while watching the Eman Idil runway show was the way that the draped fabrics were tied differently in each look. The layering technique was incorporated in some of the Eman Idil designs, whether it be a skirt or two-piece look with a duster added. See more from the show below.
